Volunteer Incentive Program

Implemented in January of 2003, Nyack Ambulance has recognized the significant contributions our volunteers make to our organization and to our community. We have many members who go above and beyond the minimum that we expect of our members and as an incentive to them and as a token of gratitude, we have organized our Volunteer Incentive Program.

This program outlines a requisite number of active riding hours and the rewards for such hours. At present, minimum active riding members are those who ride 24 hours a month of on duty time responding to 911 emergencies in our community. Those members who accumulate active riding hours in excess of 48 hours calculated monthly are elegible for our VIP Program. Members exceeding 48 hours obtain certain rewards while members who ride over 72 hours are entitled to a greater incentive.
